West Mercia Police have recently received reports of speeding in the Broadwas area and as a result would like to conduct a community engagement event outside of the village hall on 08/07/2025 to further gain insight and the wishes of the local residents on what they would like to see from the Police and how they can help best meet their requests.
The community is free to bring any and all concerns to us and, based on what we receive from the community, we will look to create further proactive police presence in the area to help tackle any outstanding issues.
Remember the date 8th July 2025

The awesome Broadwas foursome of captain Stuart Smith, Jon Carrington, Billy Nicholson and Ian Dampney have won the Kohlhof, Germany, heat of the GC European Club League tournament.

Members approved the meeting dates for Parish Council meetings for 2026-26.
This now includes alternating meeting locations between Broadwas Village Hall and St Leonard’s Church, Cotheridge.

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Wednesday 14th May 2025 at 7pm at Broadwas Village Hall.
The Annual Parish Meeting is not a council meeting but is an annual statutory meeting of the town electors, called in accordance with Schedule 12 (14) of the Local Government Act 1972. The meeting enables the Parish Council to explain what it has been doing over the last year and provides an opportunity for the electors to have their say on anything they consider is important to the people of the Parish.
Who can attend the meeting?
The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of all the local government electors for the Parish, which they are entitled to attend and participate in.
Will I be able to ask questions and make suggestions?
Yes, any registered elector may ask questions of the Council, which will usually be answered by the Chairman, a designated Councillor, or the Parish Clerk.
An elector may also make suggestions and comment on anything relevant to the residents of Broadwas and Cotheridge.
Who will chair the meeting?
The Chairman of the Council will chair the meeting or in his/her absence the Vice-Chairman.
Will Parish Councillors be there?
Yes, however, the purpose of the meeting is to enable the parish electors to have their say. Councillors will listen with interest and as electors themselves, also have the opportunity to raise questions and make comments if they wish.
Will notes be taken of the meeting?
Yes, a written record of the meeting will be taken and presented at the next Annual Parish meeting for approval.

Just a reminder that we have a meeting tomorrow evening on the NDP review- what it means for you as a resident and how you can get involved. Our NDP consultant will be attending the meeting to give residents an overview on the NDP review and to answer any questions you may have. We hope that you can attend the meeting.

There will be a public meeting on Wednesday 16th April at 7.30pm at Broadwas Village Hall where residents can find out more information on the Broadwas and Cotheridge NDP review and how you can help to shape where you live.
